CRIMSON TIES IN SOCCER, 2-2

Booters Score Both Times In Last Period to Tie Tars

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Scoring twice in the final ten minutes of play, Jack McDonald's Crimson booters overcame a two goal lead yesterday at Soldiers Field and went on to gain a tie with a team of British sailors.

Dominating play during the first period, the Britishers notched a goal for a 1 to 0 lead. The second and third periods were more even, though, with the offensive see-sawing back and forth on the rain-soaked field. At halftime, the Tars were leading 2 to 0. A pre-game rain was probably responsible for the low scoring.

It wasn't until the final minutes of the game that the Crimson came to life to punch home two goals and equalize the score. By playing the various British outfits stationed around Boston, the Crimson booters are meeting tougher opponents and are thus conditioning themselves for the intercollegiate games which may come this fall.
