Campbell Picks Committees to Consult Hanford on Credits, Complete '47 Election Plans

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Further investigation of the College's war credit policy and supervision of 1947 Class Elections were implemented by the Council at its meeting Monday night with the appointment of two Committees by Council President Campbell.

A three-man group requested by Dean Hanford to consult with him on problems of students forced to take unwanted service credits will be headed by Robert S. Sturgis '44 and will include William S. Harrison '43 and another member to be selected later.

Already armed with two detailed complaints from undergraduates, Sturgis last night asked once more that "students who have been unable to follow their desired courses of study because of the College's present policy--particularly those whose petitions have already been rejected--should write full particulars to the Council office, Phillips Brooks House."

Fleming to Supervise '47 Elections

About to carry forward plans for '47 Class elections with the completion of the nominating committee's duties will be an election committee consisting of Harold C. Fleming '44, chairman, Bronson W. Chauler '45, Michael J. De Leo '45, and Edus H. Warren, Jr. '46.

Fleming's committee has been charged with the responsibility for making nomination petitions available, for organizing the election in the various Houses, and for making the official tabulation of the ballots. Elections will be held during the reading period.
