Lowell Stuns Kirkland 7-6; Eliot Winner

The devastating running of George Galphin and Jim Rossiter shattered the Leverett defenses in the second half, and led undefeated Eliot to its fourth straight win in the Inter-House League by a 19 to 7 count.

Also behind at the half, the Mastodons poured over two quick touchdowns, one on sheer power plays, and the other after an intercepted pass by Roger Pugh. Rossiter went over both times first on a buck and then on an end sweep.

In Yard touch football competition yesterday, Strauss whipped Hollis 18-17, Lionel murdered Thayer North 24-0, Weld South toppled Wigglesworth A--D 12-6, and Matthews downed Thayer South 12-0. This places Strauss and Lionel in a tie for National League leadership.

In the American League, Matthews South tripped Claverly, 12-0, while Stoughton knotted Holworthy 6-6.
