Three speakers with different ideas on American Communists will air their opinions in tonight's opening Law School Forum at Rindge Tech at 8 p.m.
The case for strong anti-Communist legislation will be presented by Professor William Y. Elliott. Morris Ernst will state the more moderate view, while the Wallace solution is scheduled to be expounded by former Assistant Attorney General O. John Rogge.
The three speakers will outline their individual slants on the American Communist Party with special reference to loyalty check orders, Congressional investigations, and the proposed Mundt-Nixon Bill.
Elliott, currently staff director for the House Foreign Affairs Committee, is the author of the Government's "Strategy and Tactics of Communism." Ernst, who has long been associated with the American Civil Liberties Union, is a member of the President's Civil Rights Committee. Rogge heads the New York State for Wallace Committee, and is a candidate for Surrogate of Manhattan.
