Runners Take On Eight Squads at N.Y. Heptagonals

Seven selected men from Jaakko Mikkola's cross country squad will be running against the nation's best at 11 a.m. this morning in the annual Heptagonal, race at Van Courlandt park in the Bronx, New York.

John Cogan, Joe Leeming, Marvin Albee, Mike Dawson, Joe Carleton, Joe Rolsen, and Dick White will be wearing the Crimson colors today against strong teams from Army, Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, Columbia, Cornell, Navy, and Pennsylvania.

Dartmouth has beaten the Crimson at Hanover, 15 1/2-47 1/2; Yale walked off with a 15-48 conquest; and Princeton eked out a 29-30 win. Mikkola's runners have not yet had a chance to test out the strength of the five otehr teams in today's Heptagonals.

Last week's close defeat by Princeton was the squad's best showing this fall.
