'49 Class Album Work Bogs Down

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The unfinished 1949 Class Album, which was to have appeared last month, has temporarily suspended publication owing to a gradual depletion of its staff and the resignation of its editor, Lawrence F. O'Donnell '49, Class treasurer, announced last night.

Former editor Thomas J. Johnston '49 notified the Class Committee last week that his Providence teaching job will not allow him to complete the book as editor, O'Donnell said. Johnston will stay on as "adviser."

Because all but five of the Album's other staff members are scattered outside Cambridge, production on the book will stop for a two weeks halt. It will be resumed when the remainder of the staff gathers to pick a new editor, reorganize its work, and set a new date of issue. O'Donnell now hopes the book will be out by June.
