The first inter-House swimming meets of the year made the biggest splash in intramural athletics last night as Leverett, Eliot, and Lowell surfaced with top honors.

Pem Hart led the Lowell team to a 35 to 13 victory against Dunster by taking the 100-yard freestyle in 58 seconds for an inter-House record. Leverett dunked Winthrop, 25 to 23, and Kirkland, 36 to 12, to win the first three cornered meet of the night. In the second place playoff Winthrop beat Kirkland, 30 to 18.

Laurie Rossbach was the most valuable man for the Bunnies winning a tough 50-yard freestyle race. Frank Manheim of the last place Deacons contributed the best time of the meet, 31.2 in the 50-yard backstroke.

In the final meet, also three-way, Eliot easily sailed over Adams, 36 to 12, and Dudley, 44 to 2, while Adams defeated Dudley, 33 to 2 in the playoff.

League "A" basketball got into full swing again yesterday. The scores: Dudley 49, Dunster 33; Adams 49, Eliot 43; Winthrop 29, Kirkland 28; Lowell 63, Leverett 23. In League "B" basketball: Dudley 35, Dunster 31; Lowell 27, Leverett 21; Eliot 23, Adams 21; Winthrop 24, Kirkland 16.

In the second hockey game of the term, Winthrop topped Kirkland 4 to 2.
