Clarence C. Halloway 21, a blind Negro, was struck down by a street car at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Chauncey Street at 8:30 p.m. last night.

Badly shocked, but still conscious, Halloway was rushed by firemen to the Cambridge City Hospital bleeding in the head and back. Later in the evening he was transferred to Stillman Infirmary.

The accident occurred while Halloway was crossing the street with his seeing eye dog. A witness pulled a nearby fire alarm switch, summoning the fire department.
