$40 Boost in Fees Made at Princeton

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Compulsory fees and tuition at Princeton will rise by $40 next fall, bringing the total to $700, it was learned yesterday.

Rent in all but three dormitories will be hiked ten percent, and janitor service will be curtailed in the low rate buildings.

Higher costs of operation and failure of a drive for extra endowment funds were given as reasons for the increase. The rise in dormitory rates in the first in 12 years, and the jump in the general fee the first since 1931.

Graduate school rates will also be upped.
