18 Ruggers Win Full Colors, 12 More Half Colors

In its first athletic awards handed out since before the war, the Rugby Club last week voted "full Colors" to 18 member of this year's team, and jayvee or half colors to 12 others. Full colors amount to a significant seal to be worn on the optional navy blue or crimson blazer.

At the same time, co-coaches Pat Lister and Ed Callanan selected forward John Caroy as the "most valuable player" of the 1949 team and named Captain Joe Eaton, a three-quarter back, as runner-up. In appreciation of their services, both coaches were also voted "full colors."

Full color winners: Sam Adams, Bill Boucher, John Carey, Ed Davis, John Densmore, Joe Eaton, John Emerson, Hollis French, Al Green, Al Key, Peter Manning Smith, Colin McIntyre, Tom Nuzum, Ford Schoch, Lou Travis, Len Wheeler, Ed white, Charles Whiting.

Half color winners: Tom Calhoun, Cleveland Fuller, Riley Gilbert, George Lee, Ernie Mitchll, Robin Moore, Dwight Nishimura, Mike Peabody, Tito Reich, Joe Soriano, Douglas worrall, William Zuill.
