Jordan Holds Season's First Closed Practice

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The varsity football team retired behind a Soldiers Field iron curtain yesterday as Coach Lloyd Jordan conducted the first entirely closed practice session of the season.

In an after-practice press conference, Jordan revealed that most of the session was devoted to setting special defenses against Brown winged-T plays run off by the jayvees. Offensively, the squad worked on several now plays in a dummy scrimmage.

Jordan also disclosed that Bob Straggle has moved ahead of Hank Topeka as an offensive tackle. Stargel, formerly a defensive specialist, will probably see action both ways Saturday.
