Graduate Schools Register, Expect No Enrollment Rise

1200 Will Sign at Business School; Education, Design Stay Over 200

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

No substantial change in enrollment is expected by graduate departments holding second-term registration today. With two of the largest Schools--Medicine and Law--foregoing spring registration altogether, the largest group of students to be processed is that of the Business School.

An estimated 600 first year students will register today at Baker Library, with about the same number of second year men signing in there tomorrow. The hours both days are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Running on a term-by-term basis the School of Education expects 250 registrants, the same enrollment as last term, to file through Lawrence A today and tomorrow between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

No New Students

The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, largest of the University's graduate departments, will not re-register its 2070 students, and is admitting no new men. A handful of re-admitted students and some scheduled to enter late will sign today, but will not cause any appreciable increase in enrollment.

Only about 12 new admissions, replacing 12 students who left last term, will be registered by the School of Design in Robinson Hall today. Thus the total enrollment will remain at 206.

Approximately 85 registrants are expected by the School of Public Administrator at Littauer today, only two more than last term's total.

No Change

With eight new men expected to register at Andover Hall, today, the Divinity School will retain an enrollment of 108; those men registering will replace students who left after the fall term. There will be no registration of those already in attendance.

The Law School, which has approximately 0 1,62 students at present, does not have a mid-term registration at all. Its second term opened January 30. Medical School enrollment remains 542.

Classes at GSAS, the school of Public Administration, and the School of Education begin on Wednesday, while those at the School of Design star today and Wednesday. First year Business School students have classes tomorrow, second year men on Wednesday.
