A red-hot Williams golf team ended the varsity's season yesterday with 7 to 0 defeat at Williamstown. Bill Rodie of the Ephmen was medalist with a brilliant 3-under-par 70, as he squelched Dong Wilde, 6 and 4.
No Williams man was more than two over par, which meant some pretty one-sided defeats for the varsity. Captain Bob Matson dropped his match 5 and 4 despite a 78, Herb Mee and Jack Denton lost 6 and 5, and Paul Welssman and Dusty Burke were defeated 7 and 6 and 5 and 4, respectively.
The varsity closed the season with a record of six wins and five losses, excluding its Southern trip. Next year's captain will be elected Thursday.
