Director of Athletics William J. Bingham '16 was "flabbergasted" last night when the Coaches Club made him a surprise presentation of an engraved Bulova stop watch at the club's bi-annual meeting.

Provest Buck made the presentation after a dinner of the coaches and staff at the Faculty Club. Bingham in his speech of acceptance expressed surprise and thanked the group. The engraving reads "Presented to William J. Bingham from Harvard Coaches Club 1950."

In his presentation speech Buck reaffirmed his faith in Bingham, declaring, "I know Bill has friends, but I guess they're all in heaven. The coaches are all friends of his, though, and they want to show their appreciation."

Norman W. Fradd, assistant director of Physical Training, is chairman of the group. After the banquet the coaches played cards and other games.
