In their first inter collegiate meet, the ski team yesterday took 21st, 35th, 38th, 54th, and 56th places in a large field of entrees. John Hart did the course at Jackson, New Hampshire, in 57:24, best time on the Crimson squad but almost five minutes behind the winning time.
Midddlebury's Tom Jacobs won the open cross-country meet in 52:27.
Others who finished for the College team were Skiddy Lund, 1:1:10, Neil Dickson, 1:1:20, Honry Hark, 1:11:33, and Don Kennedy, 1:13:00.
For the past two years there has been too little snow to give skiers a good chance to competo, but coach Graham Taylor hopes that conditions improve this winter.
