Whatmough Is Elected
Joshua Whatmough, professer of Comparative Philology, was recently elected President of the Linguistic Society of America for the year 1951.
Whatmough, an authority on early Roman languages and culture, has taught here since 1926. He is chairman of the Comparative Philology Department.
