Court Finally Passes Wilks $2,000,000 Gift

New York's Surrogate Court yesterday gave final approval to the will of Mrs. Hetty Green Wilks under which the University receives $2,000,000. The will had been questioned by distant relatives of the late Mrs. Wilks.

The bequest was part of Mrs. Wilks' $75,000,000 will which went mostly to charity.

Daughter of the fabulous Hetty Green, dubbed the "Witch of Wall Street" by business partners, Mrs. Wilks left over $20,000,000 of her estate to New England schools. Six schools, in addition to Harvard, were left $2,000,000 each, the top gift.

Yale received $1,000,000.
