Students who are due to receive degrees in Engineering in June were urged yesterday to take an examination on January 12 that may open the door to an attractive career in highway construction with the New York State Department of Public Works.
The Empire state is shopping for several hundred engineers to assist in its huge program of Thruway and highway construction. Applications must be received by the New York Civil Service Commission by December 10.
