Kirkland House squeaked out a victory over Eliot House in an "A" league basketball game yesterday, 29 to 28. In the last seconds, John Tangen sank a driving lay-up for the winning points. Tom Ever-hart was high scorer for the winners with 11 points, while top man for the Elephants with eight points was John Nichols.

The Deacon's "B" basketball team made a clean sweep by beating Eliot House "B's" 37 to 23. Kirkland's Ed Curtiss and Steve Moore, high scorers with nine points each, kept the Deacons ahead all the way.

In House hockey, an out-manned, outplayed, and out-scored Adams team managed to get only one goal in yesterday's game, as the Deacons sank five. Using a two platoon system, Kirkland kept a fresh six in the game all the time and goalie Dick Thomas had to ward off only five Gold Coast scoring attempts.
