Holmes Construction To Begin in Summer; Houses Music Majors

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Architects are now working on the complete plans and specifications" for Radcliffe's Daniel Henry Holmes Hall, business manager Richard Thorpe disclosed yesterday.

Though the war has caused rises in cost of materials, and difficulty in procuring certain items, 'Cliffe officials are still determined to start construction this summer. The statement of needs is now being revised to cut out, or postpone, all unnecessary extras in order to reduce the over-all cost.

The new dormitory, which will be built off the west end of Moors Hall, will house 100 students, and will consist of double rooms only. Primarily constructed for music majors, the dormitory will have a music library, and more than the usual number of practice rooms.
