Band Performs in National League Celebration at Braves Field Today

The Harvard Band, the Bowdoin College Meddiebempsters (male singers), the "miracle" Braves team of 1914, and close to 30,000 people will help celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of the National League at Braves Field today.

The band will play a major part in the extensive affairs. Starting at 1:15 p.m. it will lead a parade of dignitaries into the park. For the next half hour it will rende rvarious appropriate selections including "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling," and a service medley. The band will also perform its usual squatting alphabetics, which will include "Braves," "cubs," etc.

Following 29 minutes of this spectacle, the band will conclude the program with the "Star Spangled Banner." The group will be repaid by choice seats at the game.
