With jayvee quarterback Walt Greeley imitating Colgate's highly-touted Dick Lalla, the varsity football team stressed pass defense at practice yesterday.
Greeley hit for a good average of completions during the drill, although he was helped by the fact that he was not being rushed. The first offensive group, which spent the early part of practice working on its plays, later moved downfield to watch the defensive team drill in order to get some idea of the Colgate style of attack.
The offensive team had been working against dummies, with the emphasis on timing and blocking in the line. Both "A" and "B" backfields took part in the drill, and sophomore Paul Murphy once again spent much of the time playing tailback with the second group.
