Taft Club Will Attend Convention at Chicago

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Taft partisans in the College are planning to attend the Republican National Convention at Chicago this summer, Willard P. Dwelley, Jr. '53, president of the Taft for President Club, announced last night.

With only 180 members, the Taft Club appears very small in comparison with the Eisenhower Club's 610 members, and the H.Y.R.C's membership of just under 600. All three will be represented at the Convention.

Asked whether Taft would carry on a strong foreign policy, Dwelley said, "I think that Taft's position against Communism is even more firm than that of the Jesuits."

Besides working at the National Convention, the Taft Club will solicit votes for Taft in the Massachusetts primary.
