Mock United Nations Assembly Held

Delegates to a regional conference of Collegiate Councils for the United Nations participated in a mock United Nations General Assembly in Seven Sunday afternoon. Each delegate represented a particular country, and the main topic discussed was a "Soviet" resolution favoring admittance of 14 new countries to the U.N., nine from the West and four from the pro-Soviet bloe.

As part of the conference, sponsored by the Harvard U.N. Council, Miss Joan Human of the South African Government Information Office told the 150 delegates from New England colleges Saturday that segregation is the best policy for South Africa. A resident of Liberia challenged her and inquired whether "this woman considers herself competent to represent the oppressed peoples of the region."
