Faculty Decision Leaves '53, Spring Vacation in April

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences yesterday voted down a proposal which would move spring vacation ahead a week.

The plan in keeping with earlier recommendations made to the Faculty which changed the date of Commencement and shortened somewhat the College year, would require that vocation come the last week in March instead of the first in April.

At the same meeting, John K. Fairbank '29, professor of History, was appointed acting chairman of the Committee on International and Regional Studies effective until June.
