Concerts with the Boston Symphony Orchestra on February 20 and 21 launch the Glee Club's spring schedule, newly appointed manager Harry J. Kraut '54 announced yesterday.
The Club plans a joint production with the Radcliffe Choral Society on March 13, after which it will begin its spring vacation tour. Stops at New York, Washington, and Baltimore, with an evening performance at the Woodbury School, Woodbury, Va., highlight the trip.
Recent appointments to the managerial staff announced by Kraut are James L. Pratt '55 of Lowell House and Detroit, Mich., as assistant manager, and Philip R. Bevington '54 of Dunster House and Durham, N.C., as associate manager.
A second performance with the Boston Symphony for a joint production of the "Saint Matthew Passion" is set for later in the spring, but the exact date has not been released.
The Glee Club plans to wind up its spring series with the traditional concert in the Yard. Kraut indicated that if would take place some time in the middle of May, but again gave no definite date.
