Information on the new Marshall Scholarships, supplied by the British Consulate in New York, and printed in last Friday's CRIMSON, contained three errors, according to Charles P. Whitlock, director of the awards at the University.
Whitlock said the applicant for the award may apply through the consulate nearest his home as well as the one in New York. Secondly, he need not have an A.B. degree when he applies of he will have one when he start his study. Thirdly, the amounts of the awards will be given in British currency, and will vary between 550 and 600 pounds instead of $1,400 to $1,650. An extra 200 pounds will be given to merried students.
