In a battle of lines, Kirkland House mid Adams House to a scoreless tie yesterday afternoon, while Dunster was downing Eliot, 7 to 0, in the only other football game.
Kirkland and Adams were both unable to mount a scoring offense in a game marked by rugged line play. The Elephants were unable to penetrate beyond the Dunster 40 yard line. Dunster's score came in the third quarter on a left end sweep by halfback Ron Peyton.
In other House athletics, Dunster and Leverett soccer teams battled to a 1-1 tie, and Adams defeated Kirkland, 46 to 18 in a touch football game.
In freshman touch football contests, Wigglesworth East lost to Thayer Middle 14-42, in an American League encounter, and Massachusetts downed Lionel, 12-6 in a National League game. In a Southern League game, Matthews South defeated Thayer South, 27 to 6.
