Fine performances by skippers Tim Brown, Charlie Hoppin, and Jim Nathanson enabled the sailing team to come from behind this weekend for its third straight New England Intercollegiate championship.

As a result of its victory on the Charles, the team will sail in the National Championships at Kings Point, N.Y. in June. The Crimson took the national title last year.

Nathanson was high-point skipper with 74 points over the two-day regatta, but the Crimson's real here was Brown, who replaced Hoppin in the first day's sailing.

Brown scored 41 points in Saturday's races to keep the Crimson only ten plonts behind M.I.T. Hoppin, desk-bound by a crucial architecture assignment, took over on Sunday, won three races, and clinched the title.
