The Administrative Board has decided that an unprecedented 36-man petition for the reinstatement of Howard A. Andews '58 is insufficient evidence to reopen hi case.
Andrews had been suspended by the Board two weeks ago for his part in an explosion that wrecked a Matthews Hall room October 30. The petition for Andrews' reinstatement was circulated among his friends in Thayer South and presented to F. Skiddy von Stade, Jr. '38, dean of Freshmen.
Von Stade last week returned the petition to the signers, commenting that it could not be considered new evidence, because "there was no question concerning Andrews' character" in the Board's decision.
