The varsity basketball team will fly to western New York State this morning for games with Syracuse tonight and Cornell tomorrow night.
In both contests, the Crimson, with a one and one record, will be decided underdogs. Although Syracuse has lost both its games, to Canisius, 88 to 68, and to Fordham, 60 to 56, the Orange is perennially one of the stronger teams in the East.
Cornell, the Ivy League champion last season, has been picked by the Ivy coaches to repeat this year. The Big Red won its opener against Scranton, 66 to 58, but lost to Colgate, 73 to 52.
