Yale men favor studies over extra curricular activities, a recent poll of 600 undergraduates reveled.
"Extracurricular activities are of some importance," the interviewed students said, "but not nearly as much as academic work." The poll was taken by the Yale Radio station, WYBC.
The students questioned said that "prestige and experience" were the two main reasons for participation in an extracurricular activity. They added that varsity athletics and fraternity memberships offer more prestige than other activities.
The poll results asserted that the Elis prefer a "loss strenuous form of competition" for membership in an organization and wanted a specified limit to the number of heeling hours per week.
