Yale Runners Favored In Heptagonal Games

Yale, winner of the IC4A track championship last week, is heavily favored to capture the Heptagonal championship this afternoon at Cornell. The Crimson, with Bob Rittenburg back in action, is aiming for third place.

Coach Bill McCurdy announced yesterday, before his team left by train for Ithaca, that Rittenburg will compete in the hurdles and broad jump, but not in the high jump. A bad foot has sidelined him most of the winter.

McCurdy also announced a switch in the order of his strong mile relay team. Alan Howe will take the lead-off leg, replacing Jack Richards, who will run second. Renny Little and Dave Alpers will still run third and anchor man, respectively.
