Although large crowds were expected at last night's Princeton rally in spite of the rain, cheerleader captain John R. Menninger '56 notified Dean Watson at 4:30 p.m. yesterday that he had told the band not to play and had cancelled the parade and rally.

Besides the band and cheerleaders, more than 20 University and Cambridge police were expected to attend. Coach Lloyd Jordan, varsity Capt. Bill Meigs and most of the Crimson eleven were expected to appear. The Princeton band had also planned to perform at the pop meeting.

Menninger said last night that be cancelled the rally because "he felt the purpose of the parade and pop session would not be accomplished due to the weather."
