Everybody's calendar for 1956 shows that Thanksgiving Day will fall on Thursday, Nov.22--everybody's but the University's. For, on the usually efficient 10-year calendar, Thanksgiving Day is officially listed for Thursday, Nov. 29. People in the Registrar's office were as amazed as anybody when they were told of the truth, but no change has yet been announced in the official calendar.
If the holiday is shifted back to the 22nd, it will mean a conflict with the Harvard-Yale football game at Cambridge, Nov. 24. The game is usually played the weekend before Thanksgiving, but a conflict arises about twice in every fifteen years.
