Crimson Wrestlers Beat Amherst, 21-9

The varsity wrestling team crushed Amherst, 21-9, with two pins, two decisions, and a forfeit last Saturday at Amherst. Saturday's victory gives the Crimson a record of four wins, one loss and one tie. This should establish the varsity as favorite over Princeton in next Saturday's match.

Lightweight results in the Amherst match, however, were inconclusive, as Ed Keating (123) picked up five points on a forfeit, Phil Andrews (130) lost a decision to Amherst captain Dean Tank, and Phil Burnaman did not make the weight for his usual 137 lb. position. Replacing him, Dave Jordan lost a decision, giving Amherst its only other score.

Unlimited Pete Morrison lost a 5-1 decision for his first defeat of the year, but Burnaman (147) pinned, Jim Dale (157) won a decision, and Bob Gilmor (167) decisioned Fred Felton. Captain Ken Culbert (177) used his reverse cradle t pin in the second period.
