The Debate Council won its third main eastern tournament in a row over the weekend when it took first place in the Georgetown Cherry Invitational in Washington, D.C.

Crimson entries Robert M. O'Neil '56 and David P. Bryden '57 upheld the negative of the controversial recognition of Red China topic. They were the only team out of the 27 college entered that went undefeated in seven preliminary rounds.

Robert H. King '57 and Robert W. Serivner '57 debated the affirmative side of the topic, but lost to the George Washington college entry, which in turn bowed to the O'Neil-Bryden team in the final round.
