The varsity golf team finished third in its triangular meet at Providence yesterday, losing to Princeton, 5 to 2, and Brown, 4 to 3. No one on the team was able to defeat more than one of his two opponents.
Against Princeton only Perry Driggs at number four and Jim Bailey at number seven were able to win. Driggs took his match five and four, and Bailey won his one up.
Three different men contributed points against Brown. Number two man Bill McAllister and Bob Ornsteen at number three both beat their opponents one up on the twentieth hole.
