Sir William J. Haley, editor of The Times of London, will lecture on "The Press, Broadcasting, and Public Opinion in Britain" on Thursday, October 18, in Emerson D.
The speaker will be the guest of the Nieman Fellows at dinner at October 17. Previous to his appointment to The Times, Haley served as director-general of the British Broadcasting Company from 1944 to 1952.
Haley's lecture will be presented under the auspices of the Nieman Foundation.
