Bloch Named to Head Classic Studies at American Academy

Herbert Bloch, professor of Greek and Latin, has been appointed professor in charge of the School for Classical Studies at the American Academy in Rome, it was announced recently. He has been given a two-year leave from the University to assume his new post.

The classicist joined the faculty in 1942.
