Marshal Seeks Cause Of Varsity Club Fire

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Investigation of Monday morning's two-alarm blaze at the Varsity Club by the Fire Marshal's office continued yesterday. Officials of the Fire Department emphasized that the investigation is routine and normally takes several days. The Fire Marshal's office is usually called in on multiple alarm fires, Deputy Chief William Crimmens of the Cambridge Fire Department explained. He does not expect that any criminal charges will be brought as a result of the investigation.

Workmen at the three story building have been effecting temporary repairs.

Varsity training tables have been moved to rooms in the Union, which adjoins the Club building, since parts of the building are not considered safe. The Band headquarters has been temporarily set up on the Prescott St. side of the building in three small rooms.
