A spirited freshman soccer team, bouncing back following a defeat by Exeter, scored four goals in the fourth quarter to down Boston University, 4 to 0, on the Business School field last Saturday.

Two of the scores came on penalty shots by Bruce Johnstone, right inside. Shamus Malin, outside right, scored the other two Crimson goals. Crimson goalie Larry Martin saved a BU penalty kick, bringing his two-game record to two out of three penalty shots blocked.

"I think the boys realized their potential in this game," commented Coach Dana Getchell. Their team play and ball control were greatly improved from the Exeter game.

On Oct. 9 the Yardlings dropped their opening game to Exeter, 2 to 0. They will oppose Tufts at Medford tomorrow and will "not be underdogs," Getchell predicted.
