The first John Henry Williams Prize has been awarded to Robert S. November '58, of Great Neck, N. Y., the Federal Reserve Bank of New York announced yesterday.
The 1958 award is the first of a series to be made annually to "the outstanding Harvard or Radcliffe College senior graduating summa cum laude in economics." The recipient is chosen by the Economics Department.
The prize honors John Henry Williams, Nathaniel Ropes Professor of Political Economy. It was established by colleagues of the noted economist on the New York Federal Reserve Bank, and others of his associates. Williams served as Adviser to the Bank for nearly 25 years.
