The varsity tennis team continued on its winning ways Saturday afternoon, whitewashing a rather anemic Pennsylvania squad, 9 to 0. The visitors managed to win only one set in the whole match.

With captain Dale Junta still out of action, Larry Sears moved up to number one, and played as though he belonged there. He was in full control all the way, triumphing 6-2, 6-3, over Ralph Levitan.

At second singles, Sophomore Tim Gallwey crushed Bob Robbins, who was suffering slightly from an injured back. Gallwey took the first set in love, but let up in the second, winning 6-4.

Ned Weld was bothered by a bad foot and this explains why he had trouble defeating Howard Friedel. Several times he was passed by shots that normally would have been within his reach. None-theless, he won a tight match, 8-6, 4-6, 8-6.

The varsity swept the other three singles just as handily as it won the first two. Allen Goldman won over Jerry Finerman, 8-6, 6-0; Fred Vinton beat Claude Beer, 6-3, 6-1; and Bill Wood beat Grey Perkins, 6-1, 6-2 to round out the singles.

In the doubles, it was a similar story, with Gallwey and Vinton trouncing Levitan and Axel Jonasson, 6-1, 6-1; Goldman and Wood won by default; and Pete Krogh and Rod Nichols defeated Beer and Perkins, 6-2, 7-5.
