Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr. '38, professor of History, was given a Bancroft Prize by Columbia University for his book, "The Crisis of the Old Order, 1919-1933" yesterday.
The $3000 award, given annually for distinguished studies in American history, diplomacy, and international relations, was presented in New York by Grayson Kirk, Columbia's president.
