CCA Places Three On School Board

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Cambridge Civic Association has won three seats on the six-man Cambridge School Committee, thus essentially keeping the same difficulties in getting a majority it has faced the past two years.

Besides William S. Barnes, assistant Dean of the Law School, who won a quota and top position on the first ballot, the CCA has seated incumbent Mrs. Catherine T. Ogden and Gustave M. Solomons on the Committee. Mrs. Ogden placed fourth and Solomons fifth, neither reaching quota.

Other Committeemen elected are incumbents James F. Fitzgerald, Anthony Galluccio '39, and Daniel J. Hayes.

The Cambridge City Hospital reported last night that Solomons, though still on the danger list, was in "fair" condition. Solomons collapsed at the count last Saturday and has been hospitalized since.
