The undefeated Eliot soccer team marched to a 3 to 1 play-off victory over Dunster yesterday to clinch the House championship. Eliot wins the right to play Yale's champions, Calhoun College, tomorrow at New Haven.
Right wing Kermit Roosevelt opened the scoring for the Elephants with a long, high shot from the right sidelines that the goalie was unable to reach. Dunster was unable to score until the last minute of the game, when it capitalized on a penalty and pushed over its only goal.
In freshman intramurals, the only '63 dorm team to oppose Yale was chosen yesterday, although Weld South and Grays Hall battled to a 0-0 tie in touch football. Grays was elected to face the Yale freshman dorm champions because of its 7-6 win over Matthews North, which Weld tied. Grays nearly won the Weld game yesterday in the second period when a pass over the goal line failed because the receiver was beyond the end zone.
