College Political Clubs Join in Fund Drive

The University's eight undergraduate political organizations have started a combined fund-raising drive to provide themselves with common secretarial services and office space.

Merging as the Political Organizations Committee, they hope to raise from $5,000 to $50,000 from alumni. David A. May '62 president of the Harvard Political Participation Committee, said if enough money is raised the organizations might build a political activities center to house offices and meeting rooms for all political clubs.

Besides the HPPC, groups participating in the drive are the Young Americans For Freedom, the Liberal Union, the Young Democrats, the Young Republicans, Tocsin, the International Relations Club, and the World Federalists.

The Political Organizations Committee will ask alumni to contribute to either the combined fund or to the individual clubs.
