DANCE LICENSES

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The office of Cambridge Mayor Edward A. Crane '35 yesterday began issuing Metneses for House dances after Saturday's football game.

Because the dances are a "biennial ritual," Crane said they did not violate Massachusetts' expanded Blue Law which makes Veterans' Day a legal equivalent of Sunday.' Previously, licenses had been refused because of the law.

Eliot, Dunster, and Kirkland Houses will sponsor open dances, while Adams, Dudley, Quincy, and Leverett will run closed ones.
