ROTC Students To Visit Camps

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Both the Army and Navy ROTC units will attempt to give their students a preview of service life this spring.

Over Easter vacation, 26 Naval ROTC students, mostly freshmen, will visit the Pensacola Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Fla. They will fly in naval aircraft and tour the facilities of the training center.

According to Lt. Benjamin L. Frank, assistant professor of Naval Science, the trip, which will extend from April 3 until April 6, is designed to interest some of the participants in naval aviation and to give the rest an understanding of that branch of the service.

Army ROTC to See Devens

All of the freshmen and juniors in the Army ROTC program will visit Ft. Devens this Saturday to see demonstrations of armored vehicles and military helicopters and to fire on the rifle range.

ROTC juniors have made this trip in past years, in order to get an idea of what to expect during the training they will receive the next summer, but this will be the first time that the freshmen have accompanied them.
